2 Stories
There's one book I'm currently writing that I'm going to make available for free on my website when it's done! It's because it's not my usual genre (it's mainstream fiction, not fantasy) and I'm not really sure that it's publishable quality... My friend likes it so far, but it's been so long since I wrote anything.
Anyway, I don't really want to talk about that story right now. I've written a bunch of it, but I can't write any more before my research books get here. Right now I'm excited about the story I made up while waiting on the books! Yes, yes, I know I know. I have too many stories already. I can't help it. Anyway, I figure the more stories I have, the easier it'll be to find one people like, right?
So, this story has a bunch of subplots, but no main plot. It's going to be a political fantasy, and so far the main conflict is between the traditionalists, who are loyal to the sacred royal line, and the lanternists, who want governmental reform even if it's at the price of the moon going dark (since their artificial 'moon' is the only thing providing light, everyone would forever after have to use lanterns, hence their name). Because the royals are worshiped as gods, the lanternists are heretics and have to keep their identities secret.
Another source of conflict (that ties into the main one) is the queen's search for a suitable mate. The present queen is the last of the line, and if she doesn't produce children the magical moon will eventually go dark. She doesn't want to pick a king who would hamper her own political power, while at the same time she wants a mate that will be influential enough to ensure that their birth petitions will go through (the birthrate in Elland is very strictly controlled because they live in a self-contained environment) at the corrupt Ministry of Birth.
There are at least three males she's narrowed her focus onto. One is a politically powerful defense officer named Clavier. He would bring the most to the marriage, but he would also interfere with her political autonomy. Another is her chief advisor, Madix. He is less powerful than Clavier and she enjoys his company, but he's unpopular and there are rumors that he has a dark secret. The third is her chief bodyguard, Vevix. He seems very loyal to her personally and would be the easiest to manipulate; she's also been growing closer to him. The problem is he also seems to have lanternist leanings--he may or may not be lowborn too, I haven't decided.
I want her to end up with the advisor, but we'll see.
They also have to contend with landwalkers, which are basically land-going zombie whales.
There are so many cool subplots! I wish I could think of a main one.

POTENTIAL RENAMING FOR EXPY-FR GIL: Fr. Heinrich Alp. "Alp" is an old German word that technically means "elf," but usually was used to mean "incubus." FR. INCUBUS IS VERY CHASTE well actually for a fey, yeah he kinda is. I mean he sure as hell doesn't believe in celibacy and he doesn't practice monogamy either but he's not actually a slut. The store in my apartment building was rickrolling everyone, and I don't think anyone but me noticed. Speaking of my apartment, we HAD ANOTHER FREAKING FIRE DRILL I could tell it was a only a drill because they actually made everyone get away from the building. When there's an actual fire they don't care where we go, so long as we get out. Got some starbucks tea because I had to go out anyway tho. And then I got to talk tolaetina finally! Yay.
Those hetalia expies, still don't have a story for them.
Subplot1: jealous Nikolai kidnaps Austin and has to be forced to release him.
Subplot2: will either or both Austin and Giselle return Fr. Gilbert's attentions?

So I had a kind of dull Halloween. Didn't dress up because I didn't go anywhere except church and we don't get trick-or-treaters in my apartment building. And I missed a call from laetina ! Sadness. I didn't notice it until today. I played Fr. Gil for a while tho, and wrote most of a paper. My mom spent the night and brought me a bunch of food, which was nice. The food, I mean.

I've also started a new story, cause goodness knows I need to start another one. What with the dozen or so still up in the air. This one's really coming together so far tho, so there's that. And it's got the scheming adviser who's after the princess, only the princess actually likes him thing I enjoy. The scheming adviser never gets the girl in most stories. I usually think he's cool and am sad when he gets his "comeuppance".
Anyhow, so far there are eight or so characters, four to six main ones.

Dreams
Had a dream about Redwall the other night. A young mouse from the abbey was captured by a vermin horde (they were led by a Cluny, but I don't know if it was the same one from the books because this one lived on a magical train). He and the rat that was guarding him hit it off, though, and they ran off together. I've since named the mouse Andrew (or Andrea, for his alternate version), but I'm having a hard time naming the rat. It's hard to name vermin without making the name just something straight-up insulting. I want him to have a nice name, that still sounds verminy. Dethblutt maybe? I dunno.
Had another dream about a pair of fey brothers named Rabbit and Jackal (Jackal was some kind of Anubis-man) who were wrongfully accused of murdering their human father/adopted father. They were put on trial in some kind of secret agent convention. The dock, which held four people (the brothers and the real murderers), was some kind of pool, and when the prosecutor declared the brothers guilty (it was a quick trial...) their sections of the pool would open up and drop them into the back pool for the sharks. However, they leapt out of the pool and grabbed a buch of useful stuff from the other tables at the convention while they were swinging away on these ropes that came from nowhere. It was like inverse Spiderman thread or something. Anyway, they went on the run! Rabbit was tracked down at some point by a cop, who at first was suspicious, then decided Rabbit was a chef television celebrity named Frog, then finally realized who Rabbit really was, and chased him though this steeply hilled field. Rabbit, being magic, eventually just vanished. The cop then went to consult his Indian mentor, then I woke up.
I've been sleeping a lot last couple days. I think I have a stomach bug. Almost passed out in one of my classes yesterday, and then threw up last night. Very pleasent. :/

Thought I'd post some pics of my latest ocs! They're aliens at an academy for interplanar travel. The company that owns the academy and that the students will one day work for is Interplanar Merchant Transport Company, or IMT Co. They're all in their late teens I think? Anyway, something goes wrong on a training mission and adventure occurs, you know the drill.
