Inflicting myself on the internet

 Something that's been bothering me for a while.  Someone on youtube mentioned that the tallest acted like teenagers, and I had the horrible thought--what if they are??  That would make the regular irk children.  what if irken maturation is really slow and most irk just get themselves killed before they reach teenhood, and tallest get to be rulers cause they've proved themselves by living so long.  the maturation cycle might go tube-thing>smeet>regular irk>tallest>???  That's what's bothering me.  What the hell would an adult irk be like?  I mean, the kids are bad enough.  brr.
