 Stealing the 30 days of blogging challenge from a friend of mine, cause I love talking about myself.  Only I'm gonna insta-fail because I don't want to do some of the challenges.  Also, I don't want to take 30 days to do it.  Whatever. :P

Who knows, maybe I will do all this.  In less than 30 days though, cause I'm impatient.  Also I don't have the attention span.  Woo!


This is the most recent pic I have of myself.  As you can see, I'm in costume.  It's from Halloween a couple years ago.  I liked the spray-on green stuff so much I went out and bought green hair dye.  Interesting fact #1 down!

 

#2 - I invented my own religion, called Christoerin.  It's a blend of Catholicism and Discordianism.  The name comes from Christ and Erin (which I have decided is the masculine of Eris, much like I've decided the feminine of Mordred is Mordrid).  Occasionally I post things about it--explaining my philosophy, or more usually, posting links to brain-breaky stuff.  I'm a Discordian!  That counts as religious material!
 

#3 - I've been writing stories since before I knew how to read--I would dictate them to my parents.  Unfortunately, I took a long break from writing for college and have gotten somewhat rusty.  I hope to get back in practice as time goes along, college or no.

 

#4 - Heat doesn't bother me nearly as much as the cold.  I'm still wearing my long winter coat.  I live in the South.  I should really switch to my cape for the summer, but I'm too lazy.  The cape has no pockets!  All my stuffs!

 

#5 - Yes, when it's warm I wear a long black cape.  I bought it at Walgreens at Halloween one year.

 

#6 - I have this British-sounding accent that I have no idea where it came from.  No where I've lived has had that accent.  My parents don't have accents anything like that.  People often ask me what country I'm from.

 

#7 - I was homeschooled right up until college.

 

#8 - I love bats (the animal).  They're awesome! :DDD

#9 - I also love skulls and bones.  They look so cool.

 

#10 - I ship Phoenix Wright/Richard Wellington, post trial.  I think I'm the only one.  Maybe one of two.  There was a fic on DevArt that kicked off this obsession, but I'm not sure if it was meant to be slash or gen.

 

#11 - Sometimes I walk around the city barefoot.

 

#12 - I'm currently majoring in Religious Studies because that was a hobby of mine and the degree I want for work is a grad degree, so I have to major in something and I thought - Hey!  I'll major in my hobby!  It'll be so cool! :D  I was wrong.  It was fun for a while, and I enjoy the classes themselves, the lectures and whatnot, but it requires too many essays.  I'm thinking of switching to art for my undergrad.

 

#13 - 13 is my lucky number!  :D

 

#14 - I think earthworms are cute.  They can't see anything and they try to cross the street or get lost in a puddle and if you try to help them they FLAIL  ANGRILY AT YOU in the most useless way! <3  They remind me of poor blind Richard Wellington.

 

#15 - I totally ship Grima/Batman.  I'm gonna write a fic for it once I'm (mostly, at least) done with my Dragon Age fic.

DAY 2 GO

 

Mome Mordrid is my Discordian holy name.  All Discordians take a new, usually ridiculous name when they join.  Mome is the feminine of pope (all Discordians are popes), and Mordrid is the feminine of Mordred.  I picked Mordred as my holy name cause I love King Arthur's Mordred.  Not sure why. 

 

Originally I had a family in a story I was working on who were descended from Mordred the Usurper.  Their surname was Usurpateur, which is French for Usurper.  Usurpateur was my first holy name, but as my holy name is also my pen name I worried people would think the main Usurpateur boy was a self insert or something, so I changed my name to Mordrid.  That story later also had a girl named Mordrid though, so I don't know what I'm going to do with that.  The story needs some major reworking anyway, so...  What was I saying.  Yeah!  So Mordrid just sort of fit better somehow.  I consider Mome Mordrid to be my "real" name, not my legal name.

Day 6

 

Oh gods.  Favorite superhero.  Um.  THIS GUY.  Because he's basically the heroic version of my favorite villain, the Scarecrow.  I love Scarecrow even more than the Joker.  I... mostly love Scarecrow cause he's into Halloween and he's sexy.  Those long bony limbs, his constant almost-spastic movement, the scarecrow costume... mm.  And he's a nerd!  :D  And also I want to take care of him because Batsy keeps hitting him when really all you need to do is pick him up and hold him until he gets tired of flailing.  I also like his personality.  That gruff, somewhat grumpy professor-type who's capable of fatherly...ness (see his relationship with Harley) and sadistic glee.

Short term goals: finish the semester, finish my incompletes (done!), get more of Dragon Age Chronicles written.  Because I have to, because I have to or I'll get Fs, and because I want to.
